Northern Utah WebSDR - Server #1

This WebSDR is located near Corinne, Utah, about 80 miles (94km) north of Salt Lake City and about 14 miles (23km) east of the Golden Spike National Historic Site.  

This system has coverage on all U.S. amateur HF, MF and LF bands, 2 meters, the bottom 1 MHz of 6 meters, and several shortwave broadcast bands - see the Technical Info page for more details.

This server (Yellow) covers lower-frequency bands: 160/80/75 meters, active during local nighttime and 40/60 meters which may be active day and night. Check the band conditions at the bottom of the web page.  For higher-frequency bands, check the co-located "Green" server.  You can read more about the receivers here.

Intermittent connectivity issues:

The Internet connectivity to the WebSDR servers has, at times, been suffering from jitter and delays.  If you are experiencing drop-outs - whether they are on our end or your end - they may be mitigated by increasing the buffering using the Audio Buffering drop-down menu just below the WebSDR's volume control: A setting of 1 Second is suggested.

Have you been having trouble hearing audio on your Apple device?

It has come to our attention that some users of Apple iOS 13 and other Apple products are having trouble hearing audio on this and other WebSDR systems - and we have recently made some changes that may help in some cases.  Read more about this issue here. If you continue to have issues with Apple devices, please let us know via the email link on the About page.

To invoke this page with a preset frequency and mode, append "/?tune=(freq kHz)(mode)" to the URL and save it as a bookmark as in: http://[WebSDR's URL]?tune=7200lsb

Remember: If you don't do something (e.g. retune, adjust bandwidth, volume) this WebSDR will time out after 90 minutes. If it does time out, refresh the browser.

WebSDR system outages:

We have been informed by the utility that the next outage(s) - the date pending due to severe weather - will be of longer duration - and to eliminate the possibility of a dangerous back-feed, we will not be allowed to have UPS or generator back-up,  nor will be allowed on site until after the work is completed.   Additionally, it is possible that with the service interruptions, some gear (network, computer) may not always recover gracefully after power restoration.
